Download Page

The LandView Terrain Viewer is in beta-test status. If you wish to participate in its evaluation, you may download installers for the software and for any of the cities listed below. Please forward any problem reports, comments or recommendations to Peter Gattuso of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (gattuso.peter@epa.gov) You may also recommend additional areas to be made available.

Instructions for downloading, installing, and running the system:

To try out the system without having to download a large city file, you may download a Demo (file size is 22 MB) containing a small sample area.

To use any of the large city files, first download and install the software, here. (file size is 7.7 MB)

Then, download any of the city terrain files listed below.

The downloads are zipped Windows .EXE files. You can right-click on each file, and choose the Save option. Save each file to the location of your choice.  After unzipping, run it by double-clicking on the file in the Windows Explorer. The software is installed in a folder named lv_terrain, and each city terrain file is installed in a folder below that. An icon on the desktop and in the Start menu will be created to start the system. The Help menu will provide you with a mouse-keyboard guide for navigating the terrain.

Warning: The city terrain files are large, between 125 MB and 300 MB.
